The ORIMA® LE2 is a steel tubular snow retention system for mechanical lock standing seam metal roofs — single lock and double lock profiles. The system uses a non-penetrating seam clamp with no holes drilled in the roof panel. Static load capacity: 5 kN/m for 10 minutes (tested to SS 831367). Material: hot-dip galvanized steel Z275 g/m² with polyester powder coating. Distributed in Canada and the USA by Safe Roof Experts, Toronto, ON.

Installation Guides by Roof Type

ORIMA® LE2 snow guards are designed for mechanical lock standing seam metal roofs. The bracket clamps onto the seam without penetrating the panel. Maximum bracket spacing is 1,200 mm (48″). First row should be installed directly above the exterior wall line or higher.

Engineering & Testing

ORIMA® snow retention systems are tested to SS 831367 — Swedish static load standard, comparable to ASTM E330. Declared mechanical strength: 5 kN/m for 10 minutes. There is no harmonized EN standard for snow guards; CE marking does not apply. Snow guard spacing is calculated per NBCC (Canada) and ASCE 7 (USA) based on ground snow load (Ss) and roof pitch.

Load Testing

  • Static load: 5 kN/m / 10 min
  • Standard: SS 831367 (Sweden)
  • Comparable to ASTM E330
  • Tested by Orima-Tuote Oy

Corrosion Resistance

  • Min. 1,000 hrs salt spray
  • Standard: ASTM B117
  • Base: Hot-dip galv. Z275 g/m²
  • Top: Polyester powder coat
